T4’s and Taxes

Since Ontario Talent Agency is not your employer you do not get T4as from us.

Ontario Talent Agency acts only as your agent, not your employer. We act as a broker between you and the production company.

The production company employs your services as an independent contractor; therefore, you are responsible for remitting your own taxes.

Some production companies may issue you a T4. If any arrive at our office, they will be emailed to you directly.

It is your responsibility to keep track of your earnings.

If you are missing a T4a you need to contact the production company that employed you.

**If for whatever reason you did not get a T4a you can simply submit your payment vouchers to your accountant for the jobs needed. This would work in lieu of a T4.
